Keynote Speaker
Maria Leijerstam’s love of adventure racing began with the Marathon des Sables, running six marathons over seven days across the Sahara Desert. In 2013 she became the first person in the world to cycle to the South Pole, doing so on a custom-built recumbent ‘Polar Cycle’, and she has just completed the seven-day, 700k Nordic Islands Adventure Race. A Guinness World Record Holder, BBC Travel Pioneer of the Year and mother of two, Leijerstam also runs the Burn Series Adventure Races for families in Wales and is a regular speaker at schools, universities and businesses about her outstanding achievements

Travelling by car: There is no on-site parking, however there is an NCP car park located on Westgate Street, directly opposite the entrance, Gate 3.
