Developing Spatial Literacy, Inspiring A Generation, Building Our Future

Total Business Solutions Ltd. (TBSL) joins the rest of the world in celebrating World GIS Day on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021. In commemoration of this day, we will be hosting a virtual forum from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

This year’s GIS Day theme is Developing Spatial Literacy, Inspiring A Generation, Building Our Future. We are partnering with our GIS leaders in Belize who will be sharing about their use of GIS to support their organizations’ objectives through innovative solutions. It is an opportunity to celebrate the impactful work of our GIS Professionals and to ignite our own imaginations and those of future innovators who may further advance national progress using GIS.

Over 20 years ago, Jack Dangermond, the founder and president of Esri, envisioned people collaborating and sharing how GIS affects everyone. This led to the establishment of GIS Day, which was first observed in 1999. The explosion of geospatial technology since then has expanded that idea into a global event that shows how geography, and the real-world applications of GIS are making a difference in business, government, and society.

We hope you join us and other GIS Users around the globe (see map below) as we celebrate GIS Day and are inspired to discover and use GIS.
