Celebrating the GIS Professional

Total Business Solutions Limited (TBSL) joined over 3,000 organizations worldwide, in 143 countries in celebrating GIS Day on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023. The GIS Day Expo was nothing short of amazing!

Over 20 years ago, Jack Dangermond, the founder and president of Esri, envisioned people collaborating and sharing how GIS affects everyone. This led to the establishment of GIS Day, first observed in 1999. Since then, the explosion of geospatial technology has expanded that idea into a global event that shows how geography and the real-world applications of GIS are making a difference in business, government, and society.

GIS touches people’s lives daily, yet many are still unaware of its power and pervasiveness. Every map shared had a story to tell, showing the difference it is making in our community. Thank you to all sponsors, exhibitors, GeoMentors, educators, students, ArcGIS Users and citizens who attended and supported!

For us at TBSL, every day is GIS Day. We look forward to getting the schools onboard the Free ArcGIS in Schools program. Educators, we see that you are more than ready to teach with GIS. Your students have shown their interest in learning with the use of GIS. Our GeoMentors are more than ready to support! We will continue to foster engagement among our GIS Professionals. Our exhibitors did a splendid job with showing how they are achieving organizational objectives with the use of GIS. To the public at large, we invite you to reach out to us, and learn how you can get started with the use of ArcGIS.
